After purchasing a riverside apartment, overlooking the Vinalopo river, a young couple and their daughter want to modernise and redistribute their new living space. Starting with condensing the kitchen, gallery and living room into a viable space, a central island was added as both a focal point and usable surface for the day area. Wooden, Venetian dividers are used to maintain separation when needed, and a chillout corner (utilizing a wooden flooring to differentiate) protected by an open lattice wood screen is also created, along with a green colour scheme encompassing the walls, an old fireplace and other niches, and a feature wall adorned by a wallpaper inspired by a Henry Rousseau jungle scene to complete a contemporary feeling of home.
