The owners of this home within the San Joan area of Alicante wanted to makeover the day area of their home to better suit their current lifestyle. For this, the idea was to redistribute the interior furniture to give a new configuration to the living room and dining room, allowing the focal point of the large existing window to be enhanced, maintaining the luminosity, but trying not to flood the area with light preventing more intimate use of the areas when necessary.
Between this day area and the existing kitchen, an island with stools was proposed as a new structuring element allowing for movement and activities that the previous configuration hindered.
Several hall decoration options were thought through in terms of the walls, among which we highlighted wooden planking and the assimilation of different wallpapers.
It was also worked through to the basement of the house, where a living area linked to a library was created, as well as a simple office area using only a phenolic board, some shelves and light furniture on wheels easily enabling work or study.
