This complete renovation of a house in the centre of Elche for a family of four was to adapt an old house and bring it into the current way of life.
The original layout was extremely segregated and had four very small bedrooms. The design allows most of the surface area to be occupied by the day area and the property as a whole would now have the minimum number of separate rooms, reducing the number of internal doors from ten to just three.
The main focus of the project is the entrance hall that widens through a curved partition, leading both residents and guests alike to the interior of the house inviting everyone to enter. Here a large day area is found where kitchen, living room and dining room are unified, sharing views through the large windows, which also provide enormous luminosity to the entire property.
